SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, March 26, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ — GALT Aerospace CEO and Co-Founder, John Kohut, was featured in the International Data Links Society (IDLSoc) Newsletter for February 2024 in celebration of 20 years of international collaboration under the IDLSoc banner, “One Network, One Fight.”

Born out of the inaugural International Data Links Symposium held in Malvern, UK in 2001, IDLSoc was founded in 2003 and has since emerged as a central hub for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts passionate about tactical data links. Serving as a representative body for the international data links community IDLSoc aims to provide a unified voice and platform for “exchanging ideas, addressing challenges, and promoting best practices in the field. By bringing together diverse stakeholders from around the globe, IDLSoc facilitates dialogue, networking, and collaboration, ultimately driving innovation and progress in data links technology.”

As a Co-Founder of IDLSoc, former Chairman from 2003-2004, and a former Program Manager of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) international development program, John brings a highly unique and qualified perspective to all things international data links, with a special emphasis on Link-16 integration. John’s expertise and leadership has uniquely positioned both GALT Aerospace and IDLSoc for success on a global scale.

Reflecting on the success of IDLSoc and the international data link integration landscape, John shared that “Link-16 now does so many things that I could not have imagined in 2004 as we started fielding MIDS LVT across the MIDS nations and the many coalition partners. Yet, it is now just one of many data links that are employed by our armed forces. IDLSoc is now even more critical than twenty years ago to help foster these new networks and communications networking concepts into an interoperable reality. Timely and accurate information, brought to the right forces at the right time, is the key to modern warfare, so I am proud of the significant role the International Data Link Society continues to play in forging ‘One Network, One Fight.’

IDLSoc will host its 20th annual symposium in Cascais, Portugal in December 2024 and GALT Aerospace will be in attendance. John and GALT Aerospace are looking forward to the continued global expansion of GALT Aerospace this year, supported through their continuing relationship with IDLSoc, the Economic Development Center, World Trade Center San Diego’s Metro Connect program, and their new partners worldwide.

About the IDLSoc

The International Data Links Society was born out of the International Data Links Symposium.

At the third symposium the executive organizing committee of the symposium proposed to delegates that a not-for-profit organization that could represent the international data links community through individual, government and corporate membership was set up and that THE International Data Links Symposium (IDLS) should sit within it. Delegates unanimously voted for the creation of the society. https://idlsocweb.org/Pages/Standard/Home.
